Senior Independence Welcomes Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America as Sixth iPartner

Columbus, Ohio – Senior Independence (SI) welcomed Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America (PMMA) as its sixth iPartner on September 1. PMMA operates 18 not-for-profit communities in Kansas and Missouri.

As an iPartner, hospice services will be provided in Iron, Madison, St. Francois, St. Genevieve and Washington counties in Missouri; Sedgwick, Harvey and Cowley counties in the Wichita, Kansas market; and Wyandotte, Johnson, Douglas and Shawnee counties in the Kansas City, Kansas market.

“We are very excited to be welcoming PMMA into our iPartner family, and to begin working with PMMA President/CEO Bruce Shogren and his team. PMMA is a wonderful organization and we look forward to partnering with them to bring exceptional hospice care to their communities and surrounding areas,” commented SI President Richard Boyson.

The iPartner program is a national effort by Senior Independence to serve more people in more ways, establishing partnerships with other not-for-profit organizations who have demonstrated strong operations, quality and community relations.

As an iPartner, PMMA will continue to own and operate its home and community based services, with Senior Independence providing ongoing clinical, financial, information systems, marketing and operations management support.

“Since the beginning of Presbyterian Manors, we promised to always put service to seniors and their families first. That is why it is appropriate in this year of PMMA’s 65th anniversary, we chose to become an iPartner with Senior Independence. We truly look forward to working with Senior Independence to expand services and keep our promise to seniors and their families” commented PMMA CEO Bruce Shogren.

PMMA joins other iPartners Kendal Northern Ohio serving Lorain County Ohio; Westminster Canterbury of Lynchburg, Virginia serving Bedford, Amherst, Appomattox and Campbell counties and the cities of Lynchburg and Bedford; McGregor serving Cuyahoga County, Ohio; Senior Independence of Montana; and Southwestern Pennsylvania serving Westmoreland and Allegheny Counties.
